no key ? even keyless entry need to have some kind of a device in your pocket. Or do you mean that you got the car through tender but they didn't give you the keys .... [dizzy]

tanlee, you bought an auction vehicle which likely was towed back because it was repo. I strongly suggest you get the entire key system done up, the former owner would still be holding on to the key and might be able to gain entry to your vehicle.

 

This is part and parcel of buying auction vehicle which has been repo....

If u want to duplicate the keys u will still need the alpha numeric code which is given to the owner. Without the code, u can't duplicate anything. Unless u ask AD to indent a whole new set of locks and keys and re-install. It will cost u. Somemore gotto wait.

 

Why not try your luck and try to get the address/contact of the previous owner from the repo company or from the AD and get the keys from there? [:p]

you mean they don't even have one key for you? how you are going to drive it back? anyway mind sharing how much you paid for the auction vehicle?

part of the tender process..

 

i paid 31k for the car, 6k for the car body, the rest belong to govt $$$ (COE, ARF)....

got to go back to fiat and ask them to change the key system...

 

if they can reprogam, then it's cheaper. duplication is not really recommendation..

how much saving do you gain from the action car as compare to buying second hand? also i understand your cannot check the condition of the car before bidding for it,is that true?

my friend also bid himself and got a optra opc.

 

accordingly to him it's easy. just fax in your bid. now market is bad. dealer also dun dare to commit too much

bro, the paper stuff is still manageable..as in, can be followed under instructions..

how about financing? the advice is to get a loan approved before u start your bid..how does one go about that?
