Mercedes E200 NGT CNG

Hey bros,

 

How does this work? what is the advantage?

 

I've seen 3 brand new mercedes having such configurations.

NGT is not hybrid, it using gas

i'm just wondering if the owner converted to CNG after purchasing NGT which is aready gas

NGT is bifuel: petrol + CNG.

 

so already CNG, how to convert to CNG again?

if im not wrong, last time, merc NGT doesnt require the CNG logo..

 

but someone made a fuss with LTA that he did conversion and the CNG logo was added...

 

SCDF and LTA replied saying that it's an international symbol which highlights to fire fighters that it is a CNG car.. thus different lah.. donno how..

 

after that I think they realised that all this while the NGT merc didnt have the CNG logo so had them added on... cos they maybe carry CNG and must warn the fire fighters..

think so. actually, if that was the stand of the LTA and SCDF, they should have required it a long time ago. Till now, only required by those who did a conversion.

Yup...I have one in my estate. I think it was registered last year....but has no sticker (as of y'day).

Yes, it's bi-fuel. I suppose NGT stands for Natural Gas T*****?

 

The CNG sticker is a requirement under Sin's law. In Malaysia, this sticker indicates you have an expensive gas tank inside
