hi all,

thinking of getting a rex next yr (waiting for the price to drop further).

ideal model...pig nose model..2006 or cxxk eye model 2005.

what's the insurance premium like for 55yrs old with 10% NCD?

Thanks....a rough guide will do. i have no car no. plate to provide for an accurate quote. That point is understood. [;)]

Expect to pay early 4k to mid 4k. (based on zero NCB)

I just renew my MY07 and its 3.9K from AIG. (10% NCB)

whats the driver age?

but im aiming for 05 06 model..so i assume..it will be slightly cheaper? heeh

"Slight" is very subjective. It could be so slight that it is negligible.

It does not help that there are many cases of WRX and TS getting into high-profile accidents.

Dude...tell you age ain't gonna make much of a diff.

When you are below 30....they say inexperience. Then when you go above 40....they might tell you...age liao...respond not sharp...etc (nt laughing at you....cos I almost there myself)

Something tells me its the model of the car that they are targeting...not the driver or age of the vehicle. Next month when my friend's MY06 Rex insurance is due...I will know for sure. His age and mine around the same....and same NCD....just that his is a slightly older model.

haha..im very young..intend to put the car name under my mum name..

of cos..young is a relatively term....haha

eh, insurance for performance cars are normally nominated driver only

if you put under your mum's name and u are the one that get into accident, then your excess could be something like 5 to 10k if the policy allows for non-nominated drivers

if put ur name as nominated driver together with your mum... premium will also kill ya

WRX not consider as performance car yet....you can dun put named driver.

Just the stupid premium is performance only....

Anyway....they may not ask you to put....but once you claim once....the premium will shoot up and all sorts of pattern will come out liao....named driver is one.

The excess for non named driver is a super killer....as good as asking you to pay it yourself.

WRX not performance car ??

then what is an example of one ? The STI model ?

my dad driving one, must put named driver

well, maybe different insurance co have different policy structures.

my dad paying $1234 after 50% NCD and 5% TP, aged 57.

Older model 04 WRX. [sweatdrop]
