-> Original PS4 ( 235/40R18 ) is 95Y, indicated on the tire show max 340 kpa..... means i can pump air to 340kpa without any risk?

on the chassis indicate recommend air pressure 220/230kpa.

-> Good Year Efficient Grip Performance ( 225/45R8 ) 95W, not sure the max kpa

-> Hankook Prime3 ( 225/45R18 ) 95W, not sure the max kpa

Follow manufacturer recommendation

230kpa

NO NEED TO calculate

refer to car manufacturer recommendation.

owners manual or door pillar , fuel cap cover

dont follow tire sidewall

If load index is different from factory spec, need to increase or decrease tyre pressure.

i only know we follow the same tire pressure as recommended

example (cold pressure)

tire size           load index    pressure

225/45/17    94W              230 kpa (STANDARD LOAD)

                                             250 kpa (full load)

so you can inflate 230-250kpa depending on your own preference

my understanding XL= extra load= for same tire same pressure = can carry heavier load (correct me if i am wrong)

so to me always use manufacturer as guide line,

i just pump 230kpa for comfort

250kpa for better  fuel consumption
