Lancer 1.8T Ralliart or Lancer 2.0EXA?

Both these 2 cars are very close in depreciation in the used car market.

 

Lancer Ralliart 1.8T is 4 speed auto, 165bhp, OMV 21K

Lancer 2.0L EX auto is CVT, 155bhp , new model, OMV 18K

 

Which is a better choice? Have only tested Ralliart turbo, engine is a little rough. Power is isn't that fantastic.

Less troublesome and maintenance get the Lancer 2.0L EX auto is CVT, 155bhp. Somemore new model. Only worry is that CVT gearbox or wait for this :

the common ones are overheating issues..

 

changing to aftermarket intercoolers will solve the issue!

You are referring to heat soak problems with standard intercooler. Which other car intercooler can fit without much mods?

 

But again if no mods to engine, wont overheat right?

Found an article about mitsubishi's turbo charged GDI engine

 

Basically combines direct injection and turbo charging to achieve good power and low fuel consumption

If only Mitsubishi stops using that crappy CVT on the 2.0, then it can be considered a decent car.

if ure thinking about increasing power legally and easily, i think the ralliart 1.8T will be able to give u much more power as turbo cars are much easier to extract power than NA.

True it is easy to get more power from upboost. But this 1.8T model seems to be left out in those Japanese tuners. Guess they prefer to tune 2L Evos.
