Tashi Clutched December 17, 2008 Share December 17, 2008 hi bro Brown Brothers (also Australian) also has a Moscato variety, I think the alcohol is 5% only, and quite nice. There is another one, Long Flat Moscato, also quite low alcohol. Then there is a range of Moscato D'Asti (bubbly) which are quite affordable, and have a "celebratory" feel to them. All found at the typical NTUC Fairprice or other supermarkets. just imho. blessings +

Tashi Clutched December 17, 2008 Share December 17, 2008 (edited) hi bro Actually, if you like Light wines (which is great and sweet, and affordable), Brown Brothers has a range of red and whites (all around 5% alcohol). Very rare to find such light wines and very palatable. Here are the details I dug out from the Web: 1) Brown Brothers 2008 Moscato (white wine), 5.5% alc 2) Brown Brothers 2008 Cienna (red wine), 5% alc I think NTUC is offering (last I saw) a bundle of both the above for a low price of 30+ bucks, a bargain imho. There are also a whole range of Asti (bubbly white, very similar for us non wine experts to champagne, but MUCH cheaper). There is a Moscato D'Asti I found in NTUC, very nice, about 30+. The Asti from other makers are very nice too, all around 5 to 7% alc only, so very nice to serve with meats. just imho la. For medicinal wines or such, I found one in Giant, that is NON-alcoholic, so you can enjoy the herbs without the liquor, even better. just imho. blessings + PS - I am completely NOT related to any of the brands or places, just happen to enjoy something light on the palate. Tashi Clutched December 17, 2008 Share December 17, 2008 hmmm brother, a fellow "fan". :-) Caught a movie sometime recently with my wife, "Bottle Shock", which featured BIll Pullman, about "new world" wines that seem to taste better (than the stalwarts), contrary to what the "old world" seem to think. Very hilarious and heart-warming movie. After the movie, wife and I searched for that particular wine, but couldn't find in Cold Storage or such. But still, we managed to "sink" back to our easy favorites, the Brown Brothers. Definitely no hangover with a simple glass with these light wines. :-) keep blessed
