Got this email from a friend:

 

 

 

They are really classic, especially the last quote.

We should start compiling..and 50yrs down the road, publish a book named "Quotable Quotes"

 

or mebbe we should have a $400,000 exercise to find out what should be it's title.. [:p] [:p]

The statement is in contrary to what the operators claimed:

 

23 March 2007 (Straits Times)

In the past two years, the operators cited higher oil prices as the main justification for a fare rise.

 

1 August 2008 (Straits Times):

In a statement on Friday, SBS Transit said it is applying to raise bus and train fares because fuel and energy costs have

There was a Part 2 to this quote...Cant recall who exactly said it...but the speech was sth along this line..

" the pple are playing in an orchestra...each one had their own part (instrument) to play and they had to

follow the direction of the conductor who is holding the baton....Hence it is out of place if u want to stand up and play

rock guitar in such an ensemble..."

Anyone had any idea what is $200 back in 1967 worth as is today? Sounds like a lot of money to me knowing a bowl of mee is like a few cents only then
