All are good cars. Personally will go with Jazz MT or CVR MT. But if you do get the CVR, please do not be surprised by >3k insurance premiums.

just pass lisc..i don't really recommend performance cars..

i suggest getting a wnd ahnd or COE car first..get used to driving on SG road before getting new car..

OTR, bound to get into accidents, no matter how minor..at least if you're driving a 2nd hand/COE car, not so heart pain..

From your choices that you made, you seem to like fast cars.

But as a new driver, better to get second hand first, get used to spore rds and driving then decide later.

Anyway, times are getting worse, so cut down expenses also good.

All hatchback cos my dad want's to drive to work, and leave the family car for me to drive. :)

if your dad driving, then get another sedan la... ur reasoning is very weird.

anyway, back to the main point. since you are a new driver, i would suggest something less powerful. the Jazz would be great. it's a good car, good fuel economy. it's even better if you can accept an older car, because in the first few years of driving, you'll probably have minor incidents (bump into bollards, rub curbs, rub wall), it wouldn't hurt as much if it's a 15 year old car.

Ditto, I wun advise performance cars.

For one, u r not well-equipped to handle them (ur road sense has not developed yet).

Secondly, insurance loading of a performance car + inexperienced driver (new license), I think u will fall off ur chair when u hear the quotation [lipsrsealed]

I wun advise COE cars though, a lot of work to upkeep the car and new drivers r easily smoked by workshops to do this do tat.

I'm driving a CVR auto, and i would say it's a great light performance car.

However, having said that, i would also like to emphasize i had 5 years driving experience before i got the car, and honestly, that's what i recommmend you go for right now - driving experience.

Unless of course if u want to end up with bumps, scratches on your brand new car, or worse, get into an accident cause you dont know how to respond in emergencies.

Drive safe.

It wouldn't be under your name but insurance companies aren't that stupid. Even if your dad is the named driver, the moment he adds the clause for covering a young driver, it will carry additional premiums. If he fails to declare the young driver, insurance for you will be void.

Okay, i guess the CVR is out of the option now, and i just discussed with dad, he says wont be getting 2nd hand car since COE is low nowadays. :)

3 out of 4 options are auto.

maybe you should ask if you wanted a manual or auto car?

you prefer looks or speed?

looks wise,i prefer the Fit skyroof model.

speed wise,ofcourse version r.

is it compulsory to declare young or additional driver to insurance company? what i've heard is if u nv declare, got accident or what and the young/additional driver happens to be driving, the insurance still cover just that excess is higher.

When I was taking up insurance, my broker asked me if there were any young drivers that needed to drive my car. I would take that to mean that young drivers will attract additional premiums, though I am not 100% certain that there are insurance policies that demand a young driver be named as a driver.
