Achtung 6th Gear February 16, 2009 Share February 16, 2009 Today, I had a big quarrel with the Pasir Panjang station. The $3 discount cannot be given to the Easipass card holders. To get it, we must have another Smiles Card. Apparently, the manager said, its the limitation of the computer system. If use Easipass and wants 3 bucks discount, no points given and vice versa. I thought that was fugging BS. Why should I hold TWO smile cards? When the Easipass is already a Smiles card itself? I may well give up Esso. Stupid system. thought the $3 discount is for selected Esso privilege cards and speedpass only, not for all credit card payments. Any brothers have pumped at Esso and got the discount? please help to verify.

Live and let live bro... life is already so stressful le I was told with the new S$3 discount due to their system limitation if no smiles card cannot put in the points (I was using DBS platinum card for 5% discount only). As I was in a hurry yesterday night no time to sign up for the smiles card so just told them to forget it and just give me the discount and no points. I told myself next trip I will make sure to apply smiles card on the spot loh no biggie. Cheers!

Monkey888 Neutral Newbie February 16, 2009 Share February 16, 2009 That safra card which entitled to extra 7% is over. Just pump at Caltex http://www3.safra.sg/member_promotion_details.aspx?oid=817 The safra website put till 31 Dec 2010. This is outright cheating. Enticing people to apply the Safra card and suddenly cancelled it off.

Very confusing as I saw Citi, DBS, etc.. but ask counter staff, they say don't know. Which is better? Amex, DBS platinum or Citi platinum? I don't have any dividend cards. =(

Next best alternative would be the DBS Esso Mastercard

Unic 1st Gear February 17, 2009 Share February 17, 2009 should be citibank dividend card. What's the total % discount for citi dividend card at ESSO? (exclude $3 discount or voucher)
Lab4games 1st Gear February 17, 2009 Share February 17, 2009 this $3 discount seems like an attempt by the cartels to make us forget about the rising pump prices in SG when crude oil prices are dropping or not rising.... give u discount but raised overall pump prices... they r still the winners...
