I am in my mid 50s and have a very sensitive facial skin. I can't even use mildest type of facial wash for men as otherwise, my skin feels this 'biting' effect. I eventually discovered a herbal facial wash which contains tomato and other herbal mixture.

Each morning after washing my face, I apply a facial moisturizing lotion which contains Aloe Vera & Wheatgerm oil and thereafter, I apply a layer of Mineral Cream with Broad UVA & UVB Protection.

Half hour before bedtime at night, I apply a Herbal Revitalizing Cream that contains White Lily and Tomato and make the skin feels very refreshing.

I started using such application after my National Service.

Initially, I find it quite time consuming but after a while, got use to it. I must say that I have to thank my mum when I was young by insisting that I either take a fresh tomato or fresh tomato juice every morning. Tomato is very rich in vitamin and good for health and skin and this has helped me in improving my facial skin texture.

I believe that some men may find male using such facial wash and lotion rather sissy, but I must attest that these facial products help to maintain the youthfulness of the skin. I do not go to facial salon to do up my skin as it is very expensive but rather, doing it myself.

People who do not know me thought that I am in my early 40s becos of my skin condition.

I personally feel that men too have to take care of their facial skin and not just for women.

(edited)

i went las week with my wife cos i dun wanna wait 1-2 hrs for her facial...

they use a tube to suck all the blackheads from my face, esp the nose area.... no pain... then followed up by mask, etc...... alot of steps n very cooling on the face.... 1 facial session cost me $140....

i find it damn expensive... but its good to go for once a mth to remove those dirt in yr face..... those DIY facial wash is only gd for daily cleansing.... just like u brush yr teeth everyday but stil go for professonal dental cleaning once in a while.....

Supersonic

Alternatively, go for a steambath and sauna every now and then.

The heat and steam will drive all the toxin out your skin...total body, not just the face.

But exercise and sweating will do the same thing.

r u reffering to steam bath / sauna and then massage ?

follow by "exercise" and sweating on the massage bed ?

any good place to recommend ? [lipsrsealed][lipsrsealed]

there's a clinic in hougang where the doctor is specialised in treating facial problems. recommended by a fren. i went there abt 2 mths b4 my wedding to make my face better (wanna get married face must b flawless mah)... at 1st was sceptical..but was assured by fren.so give it a shot. when i was there...almos all the patients were there for facial skin prob. but the doctor will treat u according to how bad ur face is.mine was not so bad so he jus give me a wash for oily skin...n a cream.

n i can assure u...it works.my wife was also convinced by the effects.n the facial regime he recommends is not very time consuming. for not so bad skin, only a normal wash using his special wash is needed.if anyone interested i can give the add.
