If sufficiently diluted, then it will just smoke. If the car can't run, then he/she has no choice but to drain the tank and fuel system and refill with petrol.

10 litres is a lot... assuming he have very little petrol inside as he is at the petrol station. dont risk it. get some1 to drain the mixture out and pump fresh petrol inside.

and ask the blardy petrol station to compensate your friend. ( make sure he have the evidence )

which petrol kiosk is this... For Esso they split the diesel and petrol pumps so this can never happen... weird stuff.

He should note down the date & time it happened. Notify the kiosk person in-charge, note down his name & IC and the pump attendant's. Take out a piece of paper and write a declaration that they will be liable and all checks & repairs bills they will be responsible. Call a tow truck tow back to workshop and flush out the diesel, thoroughly flush the fuel system to prevent contamination.

Confirm Diesel Nozzlle diameter is bigger then Unleaded petrol.

Even Leaded Petrol Nozzle is bigger then Unleaded ones.

Modern cars are fitted with a smaller size nozzle inlet so that

only UL petrol can fill in from the pump.

Even my 1995 Punky Nissan March is fitted with this feature.

Unless the Diesel is filled in to the car without having the nozzle

fully inserted to the Petrol inlet.

Only few months ago, the pump attendant used a funnel to pump diesel into my company's Toyota Liteace (Petrol). They are real innovative.

Good thing it was only $10. At first cannot start.

Then our driver topped it full with petrol. After that, there was no problem.

that's why you should always pump the petrol yourself. just ask the uncle to wipe your glass.

best to flush system - not too difficult job.

epic win, pump attendant trying to save money for you guys. if your friend pumped full tank of diesel and made it home probably he's s**tting you. if it really works let us know the result, increase performance, engine smoother etc? old SS running 1.3L suzuki engine right? if it works i'll switch to diesel too. lol.
