hi those who are looking for suv replacement - give a look at this

just changed it few days. despite agressive thread pattern - it is as quiet as michellin.

very comfortable ride as well and handling through bend offer much more traction

is made in japan.

reading from usa website, most commented it can last till above 30,000km for suv.

have not test wet - but dry grip is good.

base on usa forum - this is situable for winter as well - so believed wet grip is good

original lexus oem is michellin mvx4 - but wear out too fast and once u reach 15,000km tire also very noisy

plus wet grip is so-so.

ya i did read in honda crv forum about one rav 4 member complaining is noisy - perharps his alignment is not done properly (that i cannot comment).

but for me who has very sensitive ears - i think this suv tyre is good. actually wanted to get advan s.t - but base on many review - it has been reviewed as very very noisy but good performance. anyway my suv only has a top speed of about 190km hence V rated is good enough. advan is W RATED can go upto 280km-300km

on my previous car i have use yokohama geolandar 051 - (made in philipine) - is not as quiet as parada. and handling of geolandar is not as good too.

most shop selling 285 on this parada spex x 18 inch. michellin mvx4 still retailing around 350-370.

Someone used in Rav4 and it is noisy but wet grip not bad.

Michellin Latitude is better indeed.

michellin latitude confirm is better, but if i am not wrong for 18inch size - is selling about 400 plus.

latitude threadwear is not lasting if your suv is more than 2 tonnes. alot of porsche cayenne and vw touarge owners complaining

When my Rav4 on 17" I did use Latitude and it only cost $240 per pc. Ride was comfort and also good in wet.

After change to 19" the first set I was on Yokohama Avan ST 245/50x19 after 20K mileage due to the terrible road

noise then change to saloon tyre Goodyear LS2000 245/45x19, now almost clock 7k and it still quite and also

not bad in wet. ST was very good in wet but too noisy after 15K.

Latitude think is not expensive, my tyre vendor quoted me around $450 per pc for 255/50x19 but it is PI from USA.

Since our SUV are not as heavy and powerful as those BM, MER, I believe Latitude can also last longer.

becareful of PI michellin - normally load index is different.

example michellin mxv4 from original dealer load index is 100, but p.i is 99 - even small difference but if anyting happened i suppose warranty can be void (correct me if i am wrong). harrier will be good on 99 index as kerb weight about 1.6 tonnes but not original lexus with kerb weight 1.9 tonnes

I thought of changing to Yoko Advan ST (235/60/18), was quote a wk ago 280/pc by LS Tyres.

Price was best, other quoted 310 & 304/pc.

Now change my mind looking at BS Dueler HP Spot, any bros had used this tyre? Kindly share yr feel.

hello Admiralty,

for your size of tire, i would suggest Michelin rather than Advan ST. the latter road noise is loud after 10,000km....wet & dry traction is excellent with relative poor tread wear.

as for the BS Dueler HP Sport, the internet review is good though it don't come cheap.

i am currently sourcing out for 235/55R19 Yokohama Parada Spec X.
