Hsjose Neutral Newbie December 27, 2009 Share December 27, 2009 Saw an i30 today. It's really a pretty nice car. Has got the expensive type of look. A car that should be seriously considered.

Asg14 Neutral Newbie January 29, 2010 Share January 29, 2010 Looking sporty in a hatch I guess. But i30cw is indeed heavy. Drove my friend's over the week.
Telebutton Neutral Newbie February 19, 2010 Share February 19, 2010 I've got the wagon with no regrets. It's amazingly comfortable and quite, much like my old Camry. I have tested Forte and Chevy's Cruze. Look nice but even under power. At least for i30cw, i do not need to floor my pedal to pick up speed. Plenty of space for sports gear which is important for me. Telebutton Neutral Newbie February 19, 2010 Share February 19, 2010 Yep, it really attracts me cause of the space. And the comfortable "cabin"
Telebutton Neutral Newbie March 13, 2010 Share March 13, 2010 I've tried 230kg of boxed goods into this wagon. That is roughly they weight of 3~4 adults. Acceleration and handling is still good.

Maybe that explains the performance difference. Or maybe got some Fatimah want to take a ride in your spacious boot from time to time. Heeheehee. Cksonic Neutral Newbie February 23, 2011 Share February 23, 2011 hi i30cw owners! any complaints about the car having driven it for some time? given the current high COE prices, am contemplating to buy 2nd hand and considering btw i30cw and latio. have test driven i30cw before and feels good. space-wise also comfortable. just abit sceptical if there are any known problems as it gets older.. thanks! Fierydragon Neutral Newbie November 22, 2019 Share November 22, 2019 I just bought a used i30 Wagon from a dealer at Turf Club. COE for 5 years have been paid. I was impressed with the condition and new paintwork of the white car. On closer inspection at home, I found many areas over lapping paint. The large boot also contributed to my choice. It was the dealer who short changed me. In the first month trouble started with the car. 1. Found out tires have been re cut to give impression of 80% thread. When replacing new tires, found canvas exposed on inner side. 2. Gear Box acting erratic intermittently 3.Alarm does not sound on locking or opening. 4. Suspension, including absorbers needed change I am sad that my impulse buying has resulted in a lemon.

Suspension, including absorbers needed change I am sad that my impulse buying has resulted in a lemon. I was driving the i30 for a few years with no major issue. It is suppose to be a good car if properly maintained. 1. 2nd hand car dealers are known to be sneaky. They can do a range of things just to sell the car at a higher price such as tweaking the mileage etc... Is it the plastic semi circle thingy above the wheel that is torn ? If yes can buy from stockist directly and get workshop to change. Not expensive 2. Might have to send to gearbox workshop to check. 3. Alarm don't sound off when locking/unlocking by default. Mine don't sound off too. If you really want that function, then you might need to go accessory or audio shop. 4. No choice. No one in the right frame of mind will change the absorbers when they know they are selling the car soon. It is just a matter of how bad the condition will be only. Othello Supersonic November 23, 2019 Share November 23, 2019 it is not a lemon lah. It's simply a 10 year old car that needs repairs and replacements. As with many, you came to this forum too late. Just treat it as lesson learnt, will come in handy for your next car

If you didn't over pay, then it's ok... a lot of the wear and tear stuff you buy parts from the stockists and then get a workshop to replace all of them. Otherwise you can try Komoco and ask for quotation from them. Compare the prices and decide which you prefer. Komoco will cost more (maybe considerably more) but you have some measure of warranty after the service. If you have a trusted mechanic outside, then the former point is moot... ↡ Advertisement
