Alfc 5th Gear May 29, 2017 Share May 29, 2017 Ok show me something even close to risk free that can equal the kind of interest you are paying for your car loan, today...... The point i am making if you dont already know by now, is that, there is none. So when you use the money to invest instead of paying the car. Take note that you are assuming another set of risk on top of the loan risk. Not saying right or wrong, becos different people have different threshold for risk But highlighting so that people are fully aware. Therefore i raise that example as an example. Exactly, you said it. I am making the same point as you. Often, there are those who "thought" they are making more than the 5% loan interest, failed to realise the other set of risk they are taking on their principal. It is not or not even near guaranteed. ↡ Advertisement

Leo22 2nd Gear June 1, 2017 Share June 1, 2017 In my payment brakedown, there is this item 'advance installment' added to my purchase price (price agreed). Which resulted in Total price = purchase price + advance installment. What is this amount? Normally do you have this item if take loan?

Kzone 3rd Gear June 5, 2017 Share June 5, 2017 Purchase price: $100,000 Advance installment: $894 Total price: $100,894 Finance amount: $50,000 1st deposit: $5,000 Net payable: $45,894 if it's truly advance installment then it counts towards the installment payment plan for the loan quantum (incl interest), not an additional payment. Anyway, just booked at BM and they don't practise this advance installment thingy.
