Mits_jc 5th Gear July 13, 2009 Share July 13, 2009 Which mountain did you come back from? This started quite some time ago, at least a year or two ago... went to caltex for my weekly pump last friday and realised that they no longer give 1 THANKS point per DOLLAR spent. IT'a not 1 pt per LITRE!! When did that start??!! ↡ Advertisement
Tireburner 3rd Gear July 13, 2009 Share July 13, 2009 I think it was probably last year when crude was climbing up incessantly that they started changing the points accrual system from dollar to litre based. Can't remember exactly but it's not a recent thing. I jump ship to esso due to their easier points accrual. But if caltex has this 98 offer thing on a regular basis, i might be pumping caltex again. Let's see.

Clementi 34% fuel discount during their station opening on 20th Jun 3-4pm! I bought Pokka drinks at $9 per carton + 2x500ml free! Heard from station manager that Turtle wax car care products at 30% off too. I am going down to buy some car shampoo, leather cleaner and tyre shine soon.. Cowtax rocks! Alpha78 6th Gear July 14, 2009 Share July 14, 2009 Yup. On Sunday I went to pump full tank, just nice the attendant pumped $70.01. Cleared all my 1400 points, and they didn't even bother to collect the $0.01. The feeling of paying zero dollars for petrol is priceless. I hope I don't get addicted to the power of 98. Azrielsc 1st Gear July 17, 2009 Share July 17, 2009 Pumped on the last day of promotion and redeemed close to 2000 pts for a S$95 worth of Caltex98. Only catch was that I couldn't use my Starcard. Like one of you said, the feeling is nice not to pay for a tank of petrol. :)
