Hungryforcar 1st Gear July 15, 2009 Share July 15, 2009 Did they get a sum of deposit from you?? They can deduce it from the deposit for transfer fee. First installment, you settle with financial company. road tax depends when is due. insurance either they find one for you or you find yourself. Beachboys Clutched July 15, 2009 Share July 15, 2009 (edited) 1600cc should be $900+ for road tax... you should always get direct quote for insurance (if they allow without jacking up the price), as going thru them will certainly be higher (with their commission)... n no, admin fees is never obligated (look up the other thread on buying used car) Edited July 15, 2009 by Beachboys

Hey Ray, I find your post dubious. Your topic is Buying a new Car. 1st payment... but you put in the post used car COE car. I am sure you can't mixed these things up and no excuse for typo. Next is all your questions are anyhow put forth. Basically, 1st payment is your deposit to car dealer when you conclude your purchase.

So_nice 6th Gear July 17, 2009 Share July 17, 2009 standby insurance, transfer fee, admin fee (usually 200-300). 1st installment i dun think so bah. sometimes insurance they ask u go get urself. mine i got myself and they give few days grace before cancelling the insurance. dunno how true. think abt it, i could be driving without any valid insurance then.
