Electricity tariff to go up (yet) again

The power monopoly announces that electricity tariff will go up next month (later this week to be exact) due to increases in oil / fuel prices?

 

Question: Aren't our electricity generated by use of natural gas? The trend of natural gas prices have been going downhill since a year back.

So is this the same old kind of reason we given to accept???

kelong one lah... last time when oil prices were falling, they said there is no correlation between gases n oil. Now oil prices went up, they flip like a roti prata saying it's cause for an increase

not only that, Singapore $ also getting stronger againts US dollar for the past 1 yr, that should further reduce the gas pricing...
