Stand outside YCK MRT and wait.

See the car you like, then approach and ask to be student.

No point find a "good" instructor, but his car is a 10-year old Corolla (Very easy to engine stall).

Try to go for hatchbacks or smaller cars.

Easier to park.

HBs only available in ubi. yck still quite strict.

go there look for this rather old skinny guy with a blueish vios SJR plate. he taught my friend before. not bad. just dont bargain on the rates with him. he'll tell you to gtfo.

Hi TS,

http://learn-to-drive.spf.gov.sg/services/...tes/private.htm

scroll down to SSDC but the rate is based on 1st timer pass.

don't just look at the percentage, look at the total number of students that took also.

I was under STEVEN ONG CHOON TEE previously, drives a black mitsubishi lancer

Please do not really trust the 1st timer passing rate. These "high flyers" actually will recruit you and if they find you are not good, they ask you forgo the test date. They are only cherry picking and select best to take tests, if you are lousy, they will try to make you "quit" by not really teaching you. I have too many friends who fall for such good passing rate.

To select really good instructors, find those who have excellent feedbackS from real students.

Hi everyone,

Really appreciated all your feedback!

It's very helpful, and I'll try the methods you all recommended.

Once again, gam siah!
