My friend's brand new Scenic timing belt burst on the 2nd day after collecting his car from AD.

Got stuck in the workshop for a week for repairs!

With the ignition coil problems... you better stay away from the ride. Cos you will be very frustrated

wow, i tot my opel overheated after 1 week was bad enough.

i own a Megane, very satisfied so far i think the Scenic is quite similar. a bit short on low-end torque, but better when you rev up.

Drove a Scenic a couple of years back. Easy to drive and have very good view. Relatively more reliable than the pevious generation probably due to the improved AL4 gearbox. One of the unresolved issue I faced is the dropping window (Wearnes gave a 5 years warranty for this though). Other than that, no major problem. Go to Renault Sg forum so mre info.

 

Same class would be the Citreon Picasso.
