Recall issued for certain 2007 Toyota models.

Hi everyone,

 

Just to let you all know we have received word that Toyota have issued a recall for some models manufactured in 2007. If you own one of the models below, please do check our page and see if your chassis # is affected.

- Fielder

- Rumion

- Allion

- Auris

- IST

 

The nature of the fault is : The installation of the snap-ring in the CVT clutch mechanism are incorrectly installed. Over time, especially in situations of heavy acceleration/deceleration, the snap-ring might fall off, causing the vehicle to stall or become immobile.

 

Solution for affected models : The affected car models will have their old clutch mechanisms replaced with a new one.

 

If you are affected, please contact your dealer or workshop as soon as possible.
