Any comment on Diamond water filters?

I am planning to purchase a water filter for family use.

Come across many brands of filters like Diamond, Hyflux, OSIM, etc...

Hyflux and OSIM price almost on par and Diamond brand seems the most ex!

 

Diamond brand seems to also have water filters for shower use.

Anyone using this brand of water filter?

Need feedback before deciding on the purchase.

Diamond has been slammed by Hong Kong authorities and considered a scam. Reported by the local TVB news and wide spread. You can find such news bulletin in Youtube. Search using the diamond keyword.

 

Diamond dealers here hope you don't get to hear or see such news.

 

Try to search for reputable brands that concentrate on water filtration as their core business. I will believe them more.

Come on la... This kind of product is out to con Singaporeans by saying that Singaporean water too much chlorine. Uu think their info zun meh??

go jusco can find those cheapo brands of water filter. seems to work just fine.

 

i base it on the amount of chlorine smell after filtration. before filtration got smell, after, no smell. so i guess it works. cost me abt $30 SGD for the system and each cartridge (i use two) costs abt $2. I use a set of cartridges for 8 mths though i'm sure it can go some more.

 

really cheap! if it sounds too cheapo, i think there are filtration units which cost few hundred, for that peace of mind. in the long run, save on boiling water or whatnot

yes i agree. why not use Hyflux?

 

the core biz is water filtration and other biz relating to water treatment. its a proper local company, listed on stock market.....

 

you buy Hyflux, anything wrong with it, u can approach Hyflux directly in SG. so easy.... and anyway i dun think Hyflux will try to pull any stunts on their products because of company reputation and share prices are at stake.

 

i dun understand why would ppl believe in those weird unknown brands like Diamond and what-nots.....

 

anyway, i dun work in Hyflux or own any of its shares.....
