Saw the promo advert over the weekend.

 

Now it has 6 speed auto, lots of safety enhancement;

from $71.8K with 3 yr free servicing,

 

Is it a good buy???

My colleague had one about 3 yrs back and the 1.6l only cost less than $70k.... road holding is good but underpowered as hell...

I'm referring the 1.6 as the 2.0 is the 'half-naked' model costing about $120K.

 

Yeah it was about only $61,800 back then if I remember correctly.

Frankly if you have the personality to pull it off, by all means get the beetle. But there should be a lot more thrown in to justify the increase in $$$ against previous models.... otherwise u r better off getting a 2nd hand one.
