LOL at this thread, anyway TS, sarcasm is expected when u start this kinda thread. Just change when u cant see properly or clearly in rain, theres no hard rule or tell tale signs of when to change.

for me it's not so obvious. my previous two cars all drive till 10 years but think never changed wiper blade. the wiper were still ok and usable so never feel like want to change it.

hi Guys and ladies,

just wonder how do you know it time to change your windscreen wipers?

any telltale sign?

thanks

the signs are streaky results.

and squeeky sounds

sometimes shudders

the rubber/silicon could have worned out, cracked, hardened over time and usage.

I changed it for more than 5 years, until the rubber get hard...sounds bad, right?

I change every year during Nov. Cheap one.. something just the rubber.

Just change when the wiper go up and down and you still cant see what's in front. When raining, take SBS bus and look at their windscreen, they have a very good guide which one should change, which one not.Btw,take a old bus and a new bus and viola, you got the answer.

if you park under the sun all day long.. easily need to change every 6-9 months..

otherwise 2 years also no problem..

but the rule of thumb is still... no good clearing the rain drops.. change it.. [thumbsup]
