Redline or Motul better

i have only tried motul 300v and the mainstream brands like shell and mobil. Impressions of motul were good and i'm monitoring how it performs till next oil change.

seems to me like the lower the numbers, the better. red coded ones mean bad. green ones look good.

i was qoute $150 for reqular oil change with motul 300v and $88 with redline and $100 with motull eco-nergy. is that reasonable?

Both are good enough for street use. As for track use I will prefer Motul.

Motul is more expensive than Redline and some feel that Motul does not worth that much more with the little difference.

But once you are on Motul, you will not change to other brand. That's for me and a few fellow trackies.

sounds ok. cheapest i have seen is $55/2l so thats about $110 for 4 litres. so labour and oil filter etc would might come up to 150...

for me street driving Mobil 1 is more than enough...track use...tried motul 300V @ sepang...drove for like 5 laps straight oil temp remained constant throughout...

no oil cooler etc? thats fantastic. NA or forced induction? and the brakes did not fade?

Just change more often and the brands shouldn't matter TOO much.

 

Of course if you can afford it, no harm using Motul coupled with frequent changes as well.
