that right.good EO need not be expensive.salute to Schnell.

The ws boss took 4 samples of drained-out EO from his other customers car, namely Shell, Mobil, Castrol & Schnell to lab-analysis and I'm glad to read Schnell parameters stands positively highest [thumbsup]

if so, i probably will try it out when due for next servicing..

i'm a royal fan of amsoil but times are harsh.. must be more frugal..

no problem with turtle oil at interval of 10k or a year right?

cos i hardly drive up to 10k per year

I'm sure because the lab-analysis report is kept in the ws, I'm now a agriculture farmer and has nothing to do with Industrial Development Project.

This Lab-Analysis is cheap and worth to invest, any quality issues easily verify in the parameter report, you may discard what others hear or say by conducting this test for your own precaution and protection. [scholar]

bro no problem one la.. u read the past thread there are people comment that using up to 7-8K still ok. i using turtle oil also. I change every 5K also still worth than getting oil that are more expensive. Engine will not have a problem. You flush out every 5K or 6 monthly interval also worth. So far i have been using this oil no problem at all for my engine.

made in Germany

I'm curious, since it's made in Germany, can you direct me to the manufacturer website? because i can't seem to find anything about Schnell from google. No other country seem to carry this oil except Singapore.

All my cars are using it without problem, yes I'll replace Oil Filter and the EO between mileage of 5K ~ 10K interval [drivingcar]

Ok, noted. I will use it if c-----e ever revised their price.

So it seem turtle is only carried by giant and c-----e by ntuc

i'm sure this oil is ok but so does almost all API qualified mineral oil like Castrol GTX.

The question is,

1) which manufacturer manufacture this oil, reputation on quality control or do they even have a product data sheet(PDS)? or is it just a repackage oil from Mobil, Shell or Castrol?

2) cheap doesn't mean the most cost effective, to run a thick w40? oil in a NA car will exert extra drag into an engine dragging the efficiency down, the extra cost in petrol used more than make up for the money save in buying the oil in the 1st place.

3) if your turbo, super charging or highly tune NA engine needed a thick w40 oil, would you choose an oil from an unknown manufacturer? with no PDS, no website, no API license? (http://eolcs.api.org/)

rather than buying base on just "fully syn" marketing, customers would be better off buying from reputable oil manufacturer(Mobil, Shell or BP) with the correct viscosity(API certify). if times are tight now, mineral oil with the correct viscosity from reputable manufacturer would protect & be efficient for 5k km OCI, no problem.

if in doubt, just do a API license check here: http://eolcs.api.org/

Thats why IIRC last time was mentioned its made here.

If made here n no intl rating...i wil give it a miss. Not worth e risk. I also cannot find any mention of it anywhere else.

At least royal purple n c@rlube very well known in usa n uk.

Have done 10K with turtle with no problem. So u don really hv to drain it out at 5K.

Many moons ago, Fully syn oil claim can do 20K. Then it became 15K. Then dunno somehow, it dropped to 10K. I guess the sooner u change oil, the better it is for oil sellers and mech and everyone else except the one paying for it.
