i like your statement. I read with some amusement from fellow forummers about safety being an utmost concern ( No offense to the bros)... but when it comes to brakes, if safety is a concern , stick to big names or leave it stock until a big name can be installed.

 

Read also brake bias, distribution before "upgrading" . personally think much more benefit investing in a good set of performance tyres and pads, and steel brake hoses.... but of course you gain no "bling" factor....

Slotted rotors will wear down the brake pad very fast so if you brake hard/track always probably it will only last 6 months. Was using VTTR 6pot previously and was changing brake pads once a year or so....

brembo can be quite affordable too. go for quality for brakes. Never compromise on safety. The rest can be normal stuffs.

Fd2R brembo brakes & civic fd brakes aren't plug and play. So you gotta fabricate your own parts to make the brake kit fit.

 

This compromises on the safety as well.
