Mitsubishi Colt Plus - how to unlock fuel filler cap

I am asking a stupid question but does anyone know how to unlock the fuel filler cap for pumping petrol?

 

I used to own a honda - I only need to flip the lid to open.

Have you read the car manual? Maybe instruction inside?

if car is unlock, you can open the lid. if it's lock, the lid will be locked too. this is how it works on my previous fit ~ :)

Haha, nice 1. I also didnt know the catch to release the filer cap 3 weeks ago. I opened the car door and told the pump attendant to wait while I find it. In the end he told me its somewhere below the steering wheel lol

when i collect my ride, my agent explains to me the functions (how to open bonnet, tailgate, HU etc) in the car. :)

Haha, 1st week i got mine, drove to office, security requested to view my boot. I said ok and went to flip the lever on the bottom right.

 

He opens the boot and closes it again after checking. After parking, i noticed my fuel lid was opened. I was thinking, wtf was it open.

 

Looked at the lever again, there was a fuel logo on it. Haha, lucky the security guard didnt realised what i did.

 

Have went through the manual a few times since.

Just get in and out of your car for upteen time, your outer right foot might accidentally lift the release lever. haha! Just next to your outer right foot.
