What would your vote be?

i'm not talking about technology, price, brand etc.

just purely audience appeal.

The GTR has its loyal fan base.

it is a boy's dream that Nissan/renault has decided to revive the GTR model.

and certainly, the launch hasn't disappointed.

Maserati GT is, i would say, the best car that this italian marque has sold.

it is every banker's dream, and carries with it the legacy of Maserati everytime u step on the gas pedal.

Maser and the rest are all HUGH engine cars.

I am never impressed with 4000cc - 6000cc cars.

But nature they are very powerful and or course expensive and can speed very fast.

Nothing to it. Any manufacturer can to it.

If i have the money to afford either 2, i wun choose any of them [laugh]

I'll get a 911.

the more i look at the GTR, the uglier it gets. so what if its fast and more capable?

Bro I'm with you on the GTR being pretty darn ugly. It doesn't look good at all in my opinion...too many angles on it.

But I think the GTR has been so talked about and was previously starved of supply here that when it hit the PI's all the rich boy's who own proper supercars and rich boy's with rich daddies snapped the cars up like it was free!

Maser's great but Ferrari's ownership at one point means it uses their engines and chassis...so if we're on that train of thought...not very authentic right?

I'd pick the Maser any day. The GTR make the guys look but once I turn the key in the Maser GT it'd make both guys and girls instantly wet. Including myself!!!!!!!

lol at the wet part.

^5 same choice.

Different cars for different people.

I don't like the GTR even though its fast.

I don't like the Gran Turismo even though its Ferrarified.

I don't like the Porshe either because it just looks wrong to me.

What I like though its the Quattroporte! [inlove]

actually there's no need to thrash either car.

I like both for what they are.

just that i'd rather put my money on the Maser, thats all.

Saw a white Maser around town a few days ago with a huge black GT wing and black rims and overly tinted glasses. That was painful. Stuff like that belongs on a GTR, not a Maserati. Goddamn I love the Maserati even though it seems to be more and more common these days  The sound of that engine in a big GT coupe is worth every cent on that price tag...

If speed is your sole measure of a car's appeal, you're sorely lacking the point of a Maserati Gran Turismo and are probably not in its target demographic anyway...

maserati GT is more for refined long journey high speed cruising while the GTR are more track day oriented.

To put into an example; a Leather shoes and a Running Shoe.

very nice badge with damn sexy curves.
