Do you know 2 members to put their signatures on your application form?

Do you stay within 1 km of any of their schools?

How many more years is your child due for Pri 1 enrolment?

yr reply is definitely what i considered constructive.

to add on, it wld be good to continue yr membership even after yr kids has gotten into the sch of yr preference (fm my ex-colleagues who has kids in tao nan). i forgotten what are the benefits cos i got the info in 2008.

abit sad that ppl have to resort to this just to get into a 'branded" school...

I feel sad oso that our pri school registration has become like this and i at first dun wanna do all this things for my kids as i have the same thinking as you that its sad to have to resort to this. But bro, its really no choice as the pri sch near me that is confirmed entry has only 30+% for their sec sch express. rather than the 70+% at nan chiau.

ppl will say that "as long as ur kid is good, study where oso good."

I agree with it and from a parent POV i would like to give them the best environment and best chance to make sure they turn out good.

It is the society that had change but im sure our love for our kids will not change.

Hi

You need to be a member for mininum of 3 years and the enrolment fee will be S$500.

I am aware of the fee but im not too sure about the min 3 yrs thing. Have not seen it in the FAQ. can share ur source??

thanks

Go get an application form from SHHK first. Fill up the form and pay $500 for enrolment and $25(i think) for annual fee.

You will have to ask the 2 members to sign on the application form. All applications will be put to a committee to approve the new members. I think the committee only meets for this purpose eitherly quarterly or half yearly. So be patient.

1 year membership is the minimum period. Since you still have a couple of years before your child's enrolment, I recommend you do some volunteer work for SHHK. They will send out regular emails to members to ask for volunteers for certain events that they organize.

So far for Nan Chiau, 100% success for phase 2b for children within 1 km.

I reckon you bought a resale unit in Sengkang?

My wife applied for membership one year before my kid enrollment last year and the application for recommendation to our preferred school was rejected. Was told it is a new "rule". Suggest you visit thier website or call to confirm.
