i dont seems to get the 2% ...

"Fresh Funds". You need 2 accounts (eg. One your name, one joint) to take advantage. Move out of one (to another bank) and put back into the other at the beginning of each promo period.

The bonus interest gets credited around 7th or 8th the following month. Wait another day or two. If still bo, can go bang table! 😄

Why brave leh?

You mean SGD is safer? I already have 90% of my money (including debts!!!!) in SGD. I feel it is better to diversify. End goal is 50-50 SGD to foreign currency mix in 5 years.

I think it is even more brave of Singaporeans to put all their eggs in 1 basket (SGD).

Agree. Especially if u aren't planning to retire and drawdown in SGD in singapore.

If u have USD or other currency doing other stuff/overseas property investment, more diversification.

Though last i read, the USD is expected to remain or weaken slightly over the next few months

Not wrong to hold some other currencies for diversification

i bought couple hundred grand USD a few years ago at around $1.25 average.

still in the money and also invested in instruments that get 6%pa.

Small insignificant part of the portfolio.

will look to double holdings in USD if prices make better sense
