In absolute terms, if you are craving for a big mac meal, opting for a diet coke will save you 200calories.

200 Calories will probably be close to 15-20% of your Macdonald meal.

 

So you do reduce your calorie intake. You can ofcourse dont go for Macdonalds but if you do, why not opt for a diet coke?

 

Your reasoning not convincing.

 

Now for the COE part, it is still b-------t man.

Identify the purpose of the COE which is to give you the right to drive that wheels off to the street.

It is not to look at it! You are paying for the right to drive on SINGAPORE roads not for looking at it.

 

You guys can whine about how COE are expensive. It is and for a reason.

But dont give craps like i so wanna look at it and feel it.

Haizz...so serious for what?

 

Its about working hard and getting the feeling of touch n see what you have worked for, making it tangible. That tangibility, whether it be for show only or for reality is just as important.

 

But yes, in the grand scheme you are very very right when it comes to the environment - it's all about incremental gain. If each of us save 1% of our emissions by switching to lower wattage lightbulbs it makes a massive difference, but me switching myself makes no difference at all....

I even lost all my certs when I moved house years ago...Can't be bothered already since not workig for Govt .

COE has no physical value one, it is just another form of tax.

 

At least toilet paper can still get recycled, COE cannot.

Or the second way is to collect 365 and pass it over to Goodyear, they will turn it into a tyre for you. Got a rude name though - they just simply call it the "Farkin Good Year"

When a bid is successful,a letter from LTA will be sent to the dealer.The letter will state your name Mr so and so you have successfully bidded for your coe at the amount of $XXXXX.The COE number will oso be included in the letter so that the dealer can used it to register Your later.

Seriously...I had no idea at all.

 

But I would have expected that there is some form of official receipt that can be printed with all the proper details nicely formatted and signed off...kinda like what Bros has posted - after all, can't all be online right? What about those that bid COE and then later go buy car, or dun have internet etc?
