Help me decide : Sony WX-GT78UI VS Pioneer FH-P6050UB

well, sim lim should be selling them around $280 plus.

 

the other time i was checking them out too, intend to get a double din with usb/aux input.

 

from what i gathered, if you listen to cd more, pioneer is better off.

mp3, sony is much better.

but after months of usage, seriously, sony sound is great.

but the only setback is sometime, the tracks of mp3 via usb seems to auto fast forward and sometime,

could not even be detected...

not sure if pioneer faced this issue too.

 

anyway, you can always go picanto forum to search for the sony model if you like cheap deal.

i got mine for only $100, brand new set, which is a stock HU for picanto

dear kurty - why do you say playing mp3 sony is better than your experience of pioneer ?

anyway, hardly anyone listens to CD nowadays

In my opinion, Pioneer is better in terms of sound quality. My previous HU is another Sony unit.

you are buying a HU for the sound, not the look..

 

 

go to installer and see if they have both connected to let u hear the diff..

 

but if you are not a sound person, then go for your look..

 

when it come to ICE, it's very subjective.. coz what I like might not suit u..

hi hi, going to upgrade my car audio..

 

i have been reading the forums.. and conclude that if i change my HU to after market, i will lose the useability of the audio controls on my steering

 

But if i do not change the HU to after market, will sound quality be compromised?

 

I have a 2nd hand Lightning bolt 4ch amp from a fren and intend to get alpine component speakers for the front.. will this be good enough to hear a big difference in sound quality over my stock set up?

 

or a change of the HU is a must?
