My bet is

$45 for sports group subscriber.

$60 for non-sports group subscriber.

No more early birds deals coz it's no longer early.

StarHub's Chief Operating Officer Tan Tong Hai said: "We negotiated hard for the World Cup rights for over a year, with the best interest of the nation at heart. We are thrilled to be able to bring viewers in Singapore to the heart of the sporting action in South Africa."

SingTel's chief of content and media services, Edward Ying, said that despite the challenging negotiations, "the focus at the heart of it was the football fans in Singapore".

Since there is no early bird offer, why dun we subscribe just 2 days before kick-off? if the response is bad, they will drop the price?

3 matches per day,... our time - 6pm, 10pm and 2 am.

South Africa is 6 hours behind us... so their kickoff time will be 12noon, 4pm and 8pm ... which is equivalent to 10am, 2pm and 6pm GMT.

Once in 4 years.... $66 + GST = $71 ... what to do? pay and pay lah!!!

Well, before you curse and swear at FIFA.... look again. South Africa is in the southern hemisphere, where June is winter and December is summer, as compared to Europe where June is summer. So, there is nothing wrong playing at noon in winter where temperature will be close to 18 deg C rather than 40 deg C.

On the other hand, the 8pm match in winter .... well, the players will be playing at conditions favourable to the Europeans... probably 7-10 deg C.

So, anyone wants to bet on Brazil wining the world cup ? think again.... i personally think a European team will be world champions this year....

Possibly Spain, England, Germany, Holland, France or perhaps Italy.
