leftlanehugger Neutral Newbie January 30, 2015 Share January 30, 2015 Hi guys n gals i had my myvi 1.3a ezi 2009 for a couple of years now but this is the first time i come here... i got afew questions regarding myvi n hope anyone can help... my car was a 2nd hand n i got it in 2011... since then i have not change the spark plugs at all although i do the normal servicing.... usually in jb but recently in sg... 1) should i change my spark plugs? N if so wat spark plugs should i change to? For better power n fc 2)i realise the air filter is dirty too so is there a shop where i can just buy the filter in bulk or i must go to a mechanic n get them to buy it? If i can buy from a shop lagi better... i can diy 3)i need recommendation on tyre n rim brands which is silent n durable wif good grib on dry n wet weather. hope the question above r not too noob... cos i noe i m still a noob regarding cars... thanks in advance Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...

To answer your questions. please see below: 1) You definitely need to change your spark plugs regularly. Normal plus every 10,000km servicing. Or estimated 30,000km for iridium spark plugs. I personally using iridium spark plugs. Denso iridium IXU22. Do a search and understand more. 2) Air filter, you may want to use K&N filter? K&N filters no need to be change but need to maintain once in awhile. Do a search on that too. If you want to use normal air filter, I will give you the link. Check you PM 3) Tyre wise...I stick to original specs. 14" rim. I used to have Goodyear assurance which is not bad. Last year I changed to Conitnental ContiPremiumContact 5 which is as good. Took over since 2010 Dec. Asking 30K. Details: ABS, Airbag, Power window for both front and rear, retractable side mirror, reverse sensor. Maintainence: Very well maintained. 1) replaced my Radiator 1 month ago (old one still with me) 2) replaced engine mounting last year. 3) replaced 4 new sport rim and TOYO (made in Japan) tyres last year dec (receipt to prove) used about 15K 4) Water pump and timing belt (Genuine) and 3 fan belt replaced around 30k ago. 5) Battery replaced last year. 6) Front disc rotor changed early 2015. 7) Brake pad replaced (made in Japan) Akebono 8) Rear hub bearing replaced in late 2013 (Genuine). 9) Aircon compressor, condenser and Fan motor replaced in late 2013 10) Full Syn Engine oil change every 5K. 11) Platium spark plug change every 20k. 12) Transmission Oil (ATF) change every 20K. 13) Coolant and brake fluid replace every 20K 14) AIrcon filter replace every 10K Only used quality products. I am in Spare Part sales. All my parts I am purchasing at Distributor price hence very cheap for me to maintain my car.
