I went there last weekend. Big jams near all the attractions and markets due to lack of sufficient parking.

I will not plan to go during weekends in future.

My advice ....use the old Tapah road instead of Simpang Pulai and you should get to tanah rata quicker if you stay there. If you stay in Brinchang, good luck!!

I experienced heavy traffic on NS highway from Tapah to Simpang Pulai and heavy jam near to tringkap all the way to brinchang from the Simpang Pulai route.

Key thing is relaxing & doing nothing... So I suppose the facilities of the hotel /resort is important...

Will be a good idea to plan at least one more stop-over malacca or KL in between. Otherwise drive all the way there for just 1 or 2 nights. How long is the drive? 8 hrs?

How many days to spend there? 3 day 2 nights should be suffice?

1 day of full morning to afternoon is enough for u to visit all the places.

Stayed at Cluny a few times long time ago. LKY and family used to go there too when LHL and siblings were kids. Its owned by SG garmen so open to civil servants in the different ministries. Supposed to be via balloting but of course some officials have their ways to get it whenever they want. Place is good and peaceful cos it sits on top of a hill overlooking some part of town. There are a few rooms in the bungalow and it has its own little garden surrounding the house.

Its not very cold these days due to deforestation caused by the many developments there. You can drive there to visit the place - the caretaker is OK for you to stop and look at the views as long as you dont disturb the guests.
