i use falken , whole tyres came off . my rim gone . tow to workshop ..

fren, you can always demand a technical explaination or examination report from the shop you buy the tyre.

At least you have to give them a chance to expain and if is due to manufacture defect they can feed back to factory and improve.

rather you just throw away [bigcry]

May not be due to the tyre brand but things like incompatible tyre to rim offset, improper mounting on rim and even expired tyres could have caused the tyre to "come off".

Never /Dont save money on tyres or brake. Buy a good and reputable brand.

agreed on the dont save $$$ for the sake of safety...

BUT, not all low cost tyre are bad!

I am using Nexen8000, low cost, but good... based on my style of driving (relative), wet/dry grip is more than enough.

I am also using Champiro HPY for another ride, so far so good....

I find some postings here very funny.. Drive type R means must drive at 130kph all the time? Drive type R means must use top end tyres? Where is the association from?

Narrow minded.

Hi Guys,

looks like some good feedback on this brand of tyre.

Any recommendation which shop I can call to get a quote?

Don't mind changing to this if the price is reasonable. For me just normal driving in SG and occassionally up north...no speeding and take corners like type r. Just sending kids to school and city driving...

thanks bros for any feedback

After using GT Radial Champiro HPY 225/45/18 for a year, overall the grip is good for both dry and wet, noise level acceptable. But one of my tyre gave me some problem. Went for a rotation and balancing, found that one tyre has to put 95gm of weight... That is too much. Tyre machanic remove the tyre to check the rim, rim was ok. So problem is with the tyre. That tyre lost its roundness. Tyre thead still good, thus use it as rear tyre. Thats my experience.
