Ferraricalifornia 1st Gear August 23, 2010 Share August 23, 2010 most of the sales people know nuts on the cars coming in lah.... they don't even know that a particular engine model even exists.... ↡ Advertisement
Ix_luv Neutral Newbie August 26, 2010 Share August 26, 2010 not the polo GTI, i was referring to the Golf GTI. The golf GTI has 10 horses more compared to the Octavia VRS...but price wise about 15 to 20k more. Money worth for value based on performance, of course its not. But then, ppl buying the VW are going more for the reliability, aesthetics and branding issue. Interesting thing for the Polo GTI and Fabia VRS is both has the same horses and 0-100km timing, torque wise I'm not sure. Now has to wait for the fabia VRS to be launch to know the price difference between VRS and Golf GT 1.4 (its closest competitor in the VW stable)
Ferraricalifornia 1st Gear August 27, 2010 Share August 27, 2010 bear in mind the Octavia VRs is using the Mark 5 Golf GTi engine.... though proven rather reliable, you just can't bear the image of driving a car with an 'old engine' right??? and Fabia should be competing with the Polo....why you always bring in Golf as it's competitor??? that's the job of the Octavia.... With such 'daddy' looks for the Fabia, no matter how good a car it is (which it isn't), people will be drawn to the Polo.... i've seen a number of Polo on the road and i must say, it's definitely a better looking car than the Golf, especially the rear.... Ferraricalifornia 1st Gear August 27, 2010 Share August 27, 2010 not really.... on the Golf, it kinda looks "fugly and like an old granny" to me.... but somehow, with the smaller size Polo, it looks thoroughly funky and well executed.... that's my thought's lah... me and my opinion.... Holiday Neutral Newbie September 11, 2010 Share September 11, 2010 wud prefer the previous version golf than the current one. for skoda, everythg looks fine except the design n price. i reckon if its not a very popular brand, the authz agent may wan to lower price and grab some mkt share. this is especially a good time sine euro is lower as compared to jap yen.
