haha dats a good 1..but i tink the best defender in South Africa is Ryan Nelsen of New Zealand..i saw all 3 of their group games..Ryan single handedly prevented his country from losing a game wif his heroics in defence especially in the draw vs Italy..coming a close 2nd is Gerard Pique and Carles Puyol..of cos tis is jus my personal opinion..

well..if u include attacking defenders..i agree Ramos is damn good..Phillip Lahm is good too..

jorge fucilie of uruguay impressed me... in matches i saw... he was everywhere defending... and running up and down... i think he is a full back.... and he doe not need to do crazy things like JT to show his commitment [laugh]

Gerald Pique is good and yet still very young (1987). Having played for MU and now Barca, he seemed to have won almost all English and Spanish domestic honours. Not to mention Euro 2008 and now the World Cup. [thumbsup]

Talking abt Keeper...I guess German keeper in match against England is power....
