Thanks to the flood, we now have this wildly optimistic and unsightly dike along Orchard Rd.

Me thinks they should also lay some concertina and put in a GPMG.

I think this is an attempt to make a statement than truly trying to do anything.

I think you hit the nail on the head [smash]

Nice... the person who thought of this idea probably has never done any entrenchment work. 1 line of sand bags? There's a gap between each sand bag.

Alas, the statement they are trying to make is along the same lines as Cpt Miller shooting his pistol at the German Panzer.

I note from the picture that their flood defence has open flanks. One can only pray the flood water is not SAF trained.

Maybe Liat Towers can also rope in some little Dutch boys with big meaty fingers.

I really hope this was the BEST idea that they can come up with!

What a F.King joke. I laugh untill my stomach pain.

This picture should be voted "Picture of the YEar Award"!!!

I hope this is not some brillient idea from the FT or scholar.

That statement...Management has ordered another 100 sandbags......Give the management a tiger for effort in trying!! WTF!!!

So it will be a permanet fixture?

Just buy 50 packets of cement and one lot of the gray tiles.

Create an additional 100mm high-step to the stairs. Problem solved!

You'll never know if the Mustang will appear, will you? Who knows, maybe someone may pick up on this and run along with it. A step better than kneel down, smiling like a donut as the gahbernment has its way with you.
