I decide to try out the oil since there is so much ho ha about it.

Bought 2 cans from MX trading. Drain out my 1500KM old Amsoil 20W50 and pour it in. Wow!! Smooth man!! Awesome!!

1 week later....... Duh, no difference leh. The feeling is just what I get from brand new oil earlier on.

Try revving to 5-6K RPM....... Can't tell any difference compared to Amsoil as well. FC slightly better than Amsoil. Just slightly better.

So, I will just stick back with Amsoil during my next oil change. Maybe it will work if I track often or rev till redline all the time. But for normal driving I don't see the point.

My $$$ just went down the drain..... :(

Drain out only after 1500KM?

A lot of life in the oil still. :D

abit off topic....

i just came back from track using redline 5-40.. very disappointed. last trackday i used castrol edge sport 5-40. my oil temp remain below 120.

But redline hit more then 120 degree after 3-4 lap.. sigh.

think i wont go for redline anymore and i think is not suitable for track use, more for street drive.

i used motul before, great oil BUT to expensive. lol

What abt oil temp?

I don't have an oil temp meter. But I already have an oil cooler, so oil temp doesn't really matter much to me.

Motul does not have any API or ACEA rating...... I think the additives inside the oil is not API/ACEA approved.

I asked because even with an oil cooler, temp on the track can be high. I wanna see how much it peaks and how fast it cools.

I will get an oil temp sensor and install it. Already have the meter but no sensor.

However, not all oil coolers actually work well. Need one sized according to your needs.

If you track alot, I suggest you really get a bigger radiator and big oil cooler as well. May want transmission cooler.

Btw, my manual car do have an integrated oil pump and oil cooler. Its due to rally homologation purpose but I never drive till transmission becomes hot....lol
