I for one wouldnt panick. Mits wouldnt be very silly to sell the rights ( car design and also the ENGINE ) to Proton who just need to re badge and sell. Mits prob sell the rights to the car design and concept only.

 

My gut feel is that the engine wouldnt be a Mit Mivec and prob be some compro lotus is the de facto engine for Proton. It be interesting to see what other components be different from the Mit Lancer and Proton Waja Lancer.

 

If really Proton comes up with the compro engine, then chances are the gear box could be different. Perhaps 5 AT or 5 MT.
