1fast1 Supersonic August 9, 2019 Share August 9, 2019 (edited) why should esso and even shell for that matter, do better promos than sinopec? any justification from the marketing or business perspective? 𤣠Once again roast goose has hit the nail on the head. Theoldjaffa Hypersonic August 9, 2019 Share August 9, 2019 Once again roast goose has hit the nail on the head. ð I also find all these offers pointless from a commercial perspective. There are already complicated individual ecosystems at each petrol chain relating to credit cards, loyalty cards, discount vouchers, e-app vouchers, stamp cards with gift redemptions etc. etc. Most drivers belong to one or at most a couple of loyalty programmes and already try to max out their discounts. So the only positive effects this kind of promo can conceivably have for the petrol company are: 1) enticing and locking in new or undecided drivers - how many are there, really? 2) giving entrenched users of another brand a taste of their product, hoping they'll jump ship - not bloody likely if it's a brand that people already consider a budget brand that gives poorer performance and economy anyway. 3) driving up sales during just the period of the promotion - very short lived and short-sighted, and the margins are already being pared down by the discount. 4) increasing brand name recognition - I guess this might be helpful for a newer company like Sinopec, but frankly, drivers here are already familiar with our options lah. So... in my view, this doesn't make sense commercially. But who am I to question, I'm probably not a smart consumer since I fill see hum V power. ð It's for peepur like me who are brand agnostic and just want good deals. I just filled up a full tank of Sinopec X Power (I don't normally pump super premium petrol or Sinopec) for $160. But if I were to pump super premium, I'll still choose the cheapest one. So too bad.. I don't get to rip Shell 23% off their V Power.

Since see hum no promo maybe I try pump Caltex try try.To me Caltex 95 feels better than SPC 98 in my current car. Never tried Caltex 98. And Shell 98 feels the same as SPC 98.
