I don't see any emotion or joy or even a hint of enthusiasm when the word was spoken.

It was so stoic and lifeless.

International Olympic Committee president Jacques Rogge @ YOG2010 opening ceremony: "I would like to thank the volunteers for which the YOG would not be possible." \(^o^)/

Appreciated he thanked the volunteers right at the start of his opening address first (before everything else) !!!

The unsung heroes !!! Here's to you~

Is correct wat.

"I declare open, the Youth Olympic Games, Singapore"

Must have comma. [:p]

Or

I declare open: the YOG of Singapore!

probably wanted to leave an impact on the word Singapore by leaving it last.

I will gladly be paid $3.5million to sit and attend and wave at people at events.

Hell, I will even put in some fake effort to smile and show signs of participation when I recite out my pre-prepared speech.
