That is a Fig 11 target for you. Even at 300m out, our unmotivated bobo specky NSFs in infantry units can get a killshot.

Wtf at the pinoy "SorryWeArn'tTrained" team. seriously epic fail.

damn pissed at innocent lives lost due to incompetence.

Neutral Newbie

i happened to catch the whole drama live on channelnewsasia around 7ish, right till the end it was shown live on tv.

Wat i can see is, it was a screwup follow up by lots of screw ups.

Wat i dont understand is,

Why would they fire tear gas inside the bus?

Was the reason why they did not take him out in the afternoon was because he was on of their own(ex policeman).

It seems that all the SWAT team surrounding the bus are clueless wat to do.

I saw a guy tried to tie a rope around the broken frame of the front door, how come he never tie it to the truck and drag the whole door out?

I've been to Manila for the 1st time this year in May (flew into Manila and transferred by van to Anilao) and i really loved it there but since this incident, i am seriously thinking abt going back again seeing how incompetent this country can be.

Not a perfect ending.

So they will put the blame.....on dead people.

Foreigners involved, very delicate situations.

They threw a lightstick in? for fug?

And they throw smoke bomb without mask?

Did u see the puny rope they tied to the door? Obviously it would break!

Geez... even my kid who plays CS has better sense!

They shld really learn from the tiongs

Yes, the tiongs would have handled the situation better. Besides the case you mentioned, there was a recent case where one policewoman posed as a passing-by auntie and saved the hostage. She fired the shots at the hostage-taker while pretending to pass him the mineral water.

gone their tourism industry..hvg been there several times as part of work, i wil never recommend my family to go there despite the beautiful cebu beaches, volcanic lakes...the only safe part is mekati..jus outside Greater Manila, the M16s show up..go further south to mindanao at your own risk..

The first thing they should do is to get a similar bus and practise on it. They have hours.

Think they did that for the SQ hijacking.

stay at home to take care of baby ?

maybe the commanders are his "ah bang" (snr officer somemore), they trying to talk out with the hostage taker instead of killing him instantly, but in the end arrowed noob SWAT to take action instead, which c0ck up big time.
