ManU Vs Liverpool ..............

checking back briefly on some of your posts.. to me, spells "one-sided" in the favour of liverpool, which is fine if you are loyal supporter.

no matter what, to say someone has zilch soccer knowledge just because he/she supports Arsenal, is sore loser in whichever way i see it. my younger bro said liverpool might be relegated at the rate how things are going.. due to the level they are playing, or rather the lack of [laugh] i don't think he is wrong, if any other club continues to play like this, eventually also will get relegated or remain bottom table. to claim liverpool as a mid-table team now.. also seems abit far-fetched in my opinion (then again, i might be wrong, since its only my opinion [:)] )

you mentioned liverpool played with character.. <_< but unable to get a result [laugh][thumbsup]

no matter what, i still respect your views. in fact, i respect people who get behind their team even if they don't play well.

First and foremost, we did not lose to Arsenal tonight, what there to be sore about?

To say a team who had not been playing well for first 5 matches is probably going to be relegated, is a statement from someone who knows little of football. Period.

Also, I said we showed character, for the way we fought back as other teams might just roll over and die. I never said we played with character. I think there is a huge difference here. Dun twist my words.

Man U certainly the better side. Liverpool was too defensive in the first half. The first goal was Konchesky's fault and second by Barbertov was simply too good to keep out.

Liverpool only woke up then and Stevie pulled us back to 2-2 with a pen and a free kick. Poor defending cost us the game and Barbetov sealed the win with his hat trick.

Roy needs to get the reds to play in both halves, not just the second halves only. All the PL matches so far all similar, poor first halves, better second halves.

this is a problem since RB took over isnt it..always chasing the game...the big games especially. come to think of it...mentally not strong enough when facing the big teams...hope RH can workon their mental strength when facing the big guns if not 3-2 is somewhat flattering...it could have been worse from your summary above!

I do not think is the mental strength. The main problem with Liverpool for the past matches is that they are creating little chances and allowing the opposition too many. I think even last season, we were not that clueless when attacking.

3-2 is still fair, judging from the way Man U are leaking goals at the moment. They need Rio back urgently

dun u find the players r not as confident as before like 5 yrs back? the passing, the movement, the defending n attack is not fluid..sometimes i prefer if pool play as a team's team rather than focal point on gerrard and torres all the time.

5 years back? Post GH and Rafa early seasons? GH tactics is route one, I do not see hoe fluid can that be. Rafa tried to make us play passing more but the funding restrictions makes it difficult for him to get the players he needs.

Also, there are bound to be stars in teams whereby tactics are built around them. I know what you meant but until the day we can have the funds to sign more star players, Liverpool will still has to rely more on Stevie and Torres.

Now, I do not know how Roy wants us to play. I just hope he has a master plan in mind.

5 yrs back i find the players r able to click better. dun u think so? RH shud work on their technical skills as well...becoz sometimes the passes at the 1st quarter of the pitch can give me heart attacks.

man u players the concentration nowadays = atrocious

the liverpool player made a simple inside run through the two man u mid fielders and managed to lose both of them , fletcher is dreaming sometimes and paul scholes legs no longer gives him the mileage to cover the grounds. It led to the through ball which led to the penalty.

IMHO man u didnt play especially well either, lack of ideas in the final third. Hope we wont lose nani or evra, they provided the most penetration for long periods of time.

Man u this season are just not championship material la.

Im a hardcore man u fan btw :P

I presume your 1st quarter is referring to the attacking third? If so, yes, that goes back to my point that they are not creating enough as they are clueless on how to create that opening and how the other teammates will be making the runs. If we have better wing plays and cross the ball better, this is the easiest way to create chances. Currently, our crossing sucks.

The next 2 games at Anfield will be crucial.

Very honest assessment there. Your ageing stars will need replacements too. Chelsea is the hot fav now. Not playing very well but at least you got the 3 points. That is more important than anything else.

All those jumping into conclusion dat Chelsea will win the title easily must be forgetting the league is played over 38 games, not 5..

In the first 5 games, Chelsea were hardly tested.. 3 home games against WBA, Stoke and Blackpool, and 2 away games against Wigan and West Ham.. Utd and Arsenal had dropped points away from home.. But they were against 4 teams (Sunderland, Pool & Fulham, Everton) which are definitely better den Wigan & West Ham.. Wigan can't seem to stop conceding goals and West Ham can't seem to get any points..

IMHO their next match will be pivotal to their title charge as it'll be the first time they'll meet a team challenging for a European qualification..

If they can show they can win that game with ease, they will definitely be up there in the top this season for a long while..

Anyways, Berbatov rocks!

Well............... the moment I saw the schedule of the matches, I knew Pool will had a very difficult first 5 matches. If can go through, it will be a good year for them but....... [:(]

Out of 15 points, Pool lost 10 points with only 1 win and 2 draws............. [confused]

Hope they get those points after this ........

I think no one will think that Chelsea is definitely winning it but they are certainly the favourite. Yes, they are hardly tested but they show it by emphatically winning all of them with good margins.

I personally would like to see them dropping points too to make the race more exciting even though Liverpool is unlikely to be in the mix.
