Hyundai's DSG is still under development... Hyundai showed their DSG gearbox in the Hyundai ix-xonic concept car before and they also revealed their DSG gearbox (they called DCT) at Busan Motorshow this year.. A 2.0 CVVL(Valve lift) engine is also on the way... Can check the page:

GDI is good, but with the current tax model for diesel, I doubt normal people are attracted to get it.

If they remove that special tax , man.. I think loads of korean <1.6cc diesel models can come in, moreover its Turbo charged

Ops, looks like I misinterpret GDI hahaa... Oh ya hor, previously Mitsu also introduced GDI, we are talking about the same technology right except it is now improved.

I am looking forward for their diesel model cars. Loads of them in Europe are running diesel. Its more cleaner than petrol and most of the smaller cc ones are equip with turbo, big improvement for pickup for their heavy bodies..

GDI tech is good in a way,

 

since the oxygen and fuel injection timings can be optimized and controlled by the car's ECU....

 

giving better performance and fuel economy with the same engine cc....

 

and burns cleaner too....

but it'll only work at it's best when low-sulphur fuel....

 

and it makes a diesel like clatter....

 

and it's slightly more expensive to maintain....

There is always pros and cons to everything. Anyway, will our dealers get in the higher end versions is still a question. How much are Singaporeans willing to pay for it is another. Do remember, Singaporeans always have a Japanese the best attitude.

when COE was low....

 

and people cashed in to buy this car....

 

which made perfect VFM sense....

 

but it's not the case now....
