Must be the lack of sponsors. Hopefully this time standchart dont blocks some of the roads and cause inconvenience to others like pre-covid times.

No worries, this year change back to 4:30 am til noon, Sunday Morning. Most Saturday night chiongster have not wake up yet.  But before 12pm, better not go to town

Not that it concersn me, only for the elite and podium runners. They are taking pay cut too. Also no prize for local competition. Our local runners are still far from smelling the world class elites, so no singaporean will win any prize money this year.

Standard Chartered Singapore Marathon prize money drops from more than $300,000 in 2019 to only $70,000 this year. No prize money for Singaporean elite runners?

Like that SRY likely won't come back to defense his title liao. [laugh][laugh][laugh]

Usu show face fees include air ticket and accomodations for the entourage? 😄

Yah, if is invited, there is an appearance fee, including travel and accommodation, but not sure if including food. Some big names, the appearance fee is more than the prize money. [laugh][laugh][laugh]

He has been out of the running scene for a while, concentrating on his career. Now he just recently post some running after he graduated to be a Ortho.

Also scsm won't have a local category this year. So expect to see less local elite to join since they are unlikely to win anything from the open category.

Unofficial time, 4:36. Not bad, considering just one year ago I couldn't run 100m due to hyperthyroidism.
