Can we achieve the quietness in a conti car by sound proofing normal car?

If so, what do you think will be the cost like?

It's very possible. Actually the trick is the sound transmission isolation.

Experts say 25% of metal parts need those bitumen sheets.

And the rest you need those closed cells foam to prevent the metal vibration from transmitting into the cabin thru AIR.

All metal parts shall have the foam inbetween to absorb the sound vibration.

Sound proofing will help but to achieve the quietness of luxury car's standard, it's a different ball game. Those quietness of luxury cars are not achieved thru just sound proofing but also the design of chassis, window, side mirror, etc...

conti sound proofing very good meh ?

i'm told lexus jepun car sound proofing is super tok kong that may cause driver confuse

sound proofing is more than just proofing the doors or wheel arches .... there is a lot of combinations including the design of the car and material, etc

I dun think adding layers of damper stickers as "sound proofing" will match those of a continental cars.

As mentioned, it is the type of material and design engineering considerations that were put in... of course, the cost is different as well.

really??? it doesnt work? seems like alot of ppl done it though...

confirm wont work well as it is just very thin layer, sound will still travel through the firewall or body, at most dampen a little

want good sp must use sound deaderner and foam combo

want even better, firewall must sp and metal hollow gap fill up

not impossible but too much trouble n cost to do tat. NVR is not a simple subject to tame.

From the moving parts tat need to be balance like engine, gear box, alternator n aircn tat cost is unimagineable, plus all road noise n vibration to be isolated from cabin how to do it. tis have to be done from the drawing board time... not just adding noise pad and rubber damper so simple
