A Garmin 255W costs around US$120 while around $400 in Singapore.

Seemed to be much cheaper buying from Amazon.

But people still continue to buy from shops in Singapore ? Why is that so ?

simple la, some people dont want to go thru the hassle of ordering from oversea, and also due to warranty and suitability of product factors. and you have to wait.
