hey there!

i would like to improve the sound system in my car, from its stock setup of a sony HU and i don't know what speakers. mine's a honda city.

but i'm not willing to park too much money into it. hence the $300 budget.

I'm hoping that i'd be able to hear significant difference with this purchase. =)

any advice?

no offence. $300 can get you an amp and prob that's about it. even if you're looking for 2nd hand, it's still a tight budget. more flexible if you got $500-$600 u can get the $300 amp + a set of speakers to replace the stock ones.

hey bro...

300 can get u speakers.

i bought my car from a PI thus the HU is already after market.

putting in better speakers is able to max out the HU's capability.

with ur budget, you may want to visit car forums for ppl who wants to sell of their current speakers, be it for upgrade to more sophisticated systems or change of cars.

u may be able to get better sound out of just upgrading speakers.

keep in mind also to factor in the costs of labour for fixing up the speakers after buying it 2nd hand.

Nice deals on MCF!! However, with all these going into your car. Make sure the alternator can produce enough power to support all these toys! Else no point.

May I know what's the estimated costs for installing (inclusive of wires) a set of ICE ?

Probably an amp, a pair of tweeters, and a pair of speakers.

Only need installation costs.

Thanks !

Sorry to hijack as I can't create new threads.

I, too, wish to improve the quality of my music listening in a 4 year old altis with stock setup. I don't mind spending $300 to get the front speakers upgraded. Any advice on a good merchant to get this done? Or is this a wate of money?

its not a waste of $$. any model of component speakers will sound better than stock. for a start, buy 2nd hand ones from sgsoundsystem
